Boxes stuck in customs

Hello everyone,
Unfortunately, we have been fighting with customs for more than a week now to get our boxes cleared and delivered to us. We are beyond frustrated by this. We have escalated the matter to the highest levels today and we are addressing as fast as possible. Please know this is not some "delay tactic". If you follow us on Facebook you know we have the watches. It is just this one matter left to address and then we can start shipping.
We sincerely apologize for this problem.
Thanks,
Craig
The Watches are Here

Hello everyone,
We are happy to report that the watches are now in our warehouse and we are starting the process of getting them ready to ship. We are still waiting on the boxes, unfortunately. They should have been here already, but we had some hiccups with the manufacturer.
Also, I want to clarify something. If you saw of Facebook that the watches were at the Port Jefferson, NY event this weekend, I want to make it clear they were NOT for sale there. We took them just to show people. There were actually several people at the event who are backers and we didn't even take them theirs. We didn't have time to pull that together as assembly wasn't even complete until the day before.
We did give one piece away as a door prize at the event. We did this to help encourage more people to attend. The gentleman who won it has posted it on Facebook. But please note he did NOT buy it. He won it as a door prize.
We had to give it to him with only one strap and without the box. If this bothers anyone, we apologize. We were only trying to support the event, which is really just a bunch of people who get together every year to talk about their watches and share their hobby and passion. The watches are NOT for sale anywhere and won't be until all backers receive theirs.
thanks,
Craig

Hello everyone!
Very happy to report that manufacturing is complete on the watches. We don't have everything in our CT shipping facility yet, but that shouldn't be too much longer. These pictures below will show you the watches with the new hands. As soon as we can we will take more, better pictures to share.
You can also see the chain and fob in the picture with the blue watch.
Thanks so much for your patience!

Important update on a structural change
– Mon, Sep 04, 2017 at 04:06:32 PM
Hello everyone!
You may recall that a while back we announced that we would be changing the watch so the bottom lug could be removed so the watch could be converted to a pocket watch. Then a plug could replace the lug so the hole would be protected from collecting dust and the watch will not look odd as a pocket watch.
As we were completing the final construction of the watch we discovered the idea of removing the lug entirely could cause failure of the lug over time. So, we had to alter the design. Now, there is a screw that will pass through the entire lug. It isn't easy to explain why this is better in text but it has to do with "overscrew". (there are pictures of the change below we hope will clarify).
This has caused a delay in final delivery. This is not a long delay. The ship date is now scheduled for mid September. We apologize for this but hope you can understand. We believe this change will add a great option to the watch. And between the fob, the plug and a screwdriver we are now adding, this adds about $20 to the total cost of the unit. A cost we are absorbing and not an insignificant amount.
We will keep you informed...some additional pictures of the dials and cases added here too.
